Overview

Zamzam Health Services Association was founded in Makkah under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Affairs and was focused on offering health volunteers in the source of Zamzam. Empowered by the opening of the Department of Women, many success stories were documented such as the project (malaria volunteer) in Qunfudah province, which was carried out by the joint program of Family and Community Medicine in Jeddah and received project (UNESCO Chair) as a pilot experiment in teacher training on health education.

 

Business need:
Zamzam Health Services Association contacted us to address their business need. They wanted us to:

  • Connect all of their 14 branches throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Provide them all with managed and centralized Internet.
  • Have one main office and their head office in a single MPLS cloud.
  • Collocate two servers in ISP data center.

Solution
Sahara Net provided a connectivity solution where a centralized Internet connectivity provided to Zamzam and its branches, as well as, connected its 14 branches including head office and one main office through Sahara Net MPLS Solution.

        At the head office situated in Jeddah, Sahara Net provided a dedicated leased data only connectivity of 4Mbps 

        At the main office situated in Makkah, Sahara Net provided a dedicated leased data only connectivity of 2Mbps 

        For each branch of the 14 branches, Sahara Net provided an ADSL data only connectivity of 512Kbps

        2Mbps dedicated Internet link provided and connected to a WatchGuard XTM 505 placed in Sahara Net Datacenter.

        WatchGuard XTM 505 has been deployed at Sahara Net Datacenter to cater through the security issues. Through it, the client can:

        Manage the centralized Internet connectivity for all the fifteen (15) offices

        Control web browsing through web blocker

        Block internet access for any user on one single click.

        Complete control on applications like Skype, yahoo etc…

        Complete monitor and reporting system live and history base.

        Create different types of VPN: BOVPN and Mobile VPN through SSL, IPSec and PPTP for the mobile users to access the MPLS cloud

        Collocated two servers in Sahara Net NOC for higher availability reasons

        Implemented MPLS failover over ADSL for both leased line links in Makkah and Jeddah main offices. Also, provided dialup backup for the ADSL branches

        Email backup solution has been provided as well. If the client in-house mail server went down for any reason, all of this emails will be save in his mail backup box in Sahara Net until his system is up again (max of 72 hours)
