With the new high appraisal of E-learning, some people started to think that E-learning is only beneficial, but on the other hand some other voices claimed that to be far from the truth. Hence, they gathered around one thought that E-learning is a two-way street. It has its advantages and disadvantages.
Among all the advantages that E-learning can provide, it is believed that its low cost is one of the most important merits. This is because the process of E-learning does not use a trainer’s time or room or equipment. Also one of the high valued merits of E-learning is that it is mobile as E-learning can be done through laptops, tablets and phones. Therefore, the process of learning can be carried on trains, on a plane or any other place. This results in the no-travel merit of e-learning, since you can fit the courses to your schedule, and learn wherever you are located.
However, e-learning is not all shiny since there is lack of control over learners. This appears with the learners with low motivation as they tend to fall behind when using e-learning. Also one of e-learning demerits is that is does not meet with all learning approaches, as some will not find this experience enjoyable, especially strong activists. Also one of the problems that faces e-learning is that some people who are not friendly with technology, especially computers will find it difficult to deal with e-learning.
Concerning all the above lines we can conclude that the debate will still be between people and the only thing that most of them rally on is the advantage and disadvantage of e-learning.
